Big Jump, Bonanza

The municipality of Bonanza, known as "The Queen of the Mountains", is located in the "Mining Triangle" from the north of the Caribbean region, in this municipality you will find natural beauties, indigenous communities that still preserve customs and the cultural legacy of their ancestors, a municipality that advances in its development improving the quality of life of its charismatic inhabitants.

The municipality of Bonanza is located 480 kilometers from the city of Managua. It is bordered to the north by Waspam, to the south by Yes one, to the east with Rosita and to the west with the municipalities of El Cua and San José de Bocay.

The fundamental economic activity of the municipality is agriculture and mining work.

How to reach?

Flight arrival from La Costeña.

To get to this municipality you must take a transport unit at the Atlantic bus terminal on the outskirts of the El Mayoreo Market, heading to the municipality of Bonanza, this tour lasts approximately 18 hours.

If you want to speed up your trip you can make use of air transport, the municipality has a landing strip where the national airline La Costeña makes direct flights, to acquire this service you must go to the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport and buy a ticket in the direction of municipality. This tour lasts one hour.

You can also travel by private vehicle, taking the North Pan-American Highway, in San Benito you turn towards Boaco, you pass through Río Blanco, Mulukukú and then Siuna, where you have to turn right at Gas Station Uno, towards the municipality of Rosita, also make a detour to the west towards the municipality of Bonanza. The road is in fair condition.
