From Managua you can reach this tropical paradise through La Costeña airline, with direct flights three times a day and with a duration of approximately 55 minutes from the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport.

Also, it is possible to travel to El Rama on express buses daily from the Iván Montenegro market bus terminal or buses routed from El Mayoreo, the journey takes about six hours. From El Rama it is possible to travel to Bluefields through small boats that navigate the majestic Escondido River; the tour lasts about 90 minutes.

Then, you take the ferry to Corn Island on Wednesdays and Saturdays, navigating the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean for about six hours until you reach the paradisiacal Corn Island.

The submerged virgin of the fishermen

It is the Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, also known as the Virgin of the Divers, is found submerged off the northwestern coast of the big island at a depth of seven meters and is 1.70 meters high. The image was installed on August 27, 2012.

Ebenezer Baptist Church

It is the first church on the island, founded in 1852 by Pastor Edward Kelly. In addition, the first education center in the municipality was established here. It is located in the North End neighborhood.
