The traditional foods and drinks of the town are fish-based dishes such as fish chorizo, fried fish, ceviche, crab soup, nacatamal, curd with chili, cheese soup, gallo pinto, güirila, squash in honey, yoltamales, perrerreque and white corn atol and pujagua.

The consumption of milk derivatives such as cheese, cream, curd, sour milk, among others, stands out.

Among the sweets are the coconut and donkey milk casseroles and in the drinks the chicha de mozorola, chicha de ginger, chicha de coyol and corn.
