The municipality of El Cua is divided into different zones, those that consume food and drinks that have to do with the products that are harvested in the locality.
The traditional fritangas, chicken in caldillo, gallopinto are very popular; Corn-derived foods are also consumed, such as nacatamales, tortillas and güirilas with curd and cream.
Tubers such as cassava, taro, bananas and pijibay, are products of permanent consumption in the daily diet of the inhabitants.
The traditional beef soups, tripe soup, and chicken soup with meatballs cannot be omitted.
In the breads stand out the perrerreque or corn bread, corn cake, donuts, donuts, coconut bread, among others made from corn. The preferred drinks are coffee, pinolillo, lukewarm, pozol, chicha bruja, cocoa, as well as natural fruit soft drinks.
