The local traditional dishes They are chilotes in stews, tortillas, pisque tamale, sweet tamale, meatball soup, curd soup, güirilas, bean soup, bean soup with pork skin, scrambled or stuffed empanadas, enchorized meat, picadillo.

As well as pozol head, corn rice, tender bean stew, nacatamales, old Indian, pinto rooster and roasted canes.

The breads Favorites are the rosquillas (soft and toasted corn), perrerreque, puff pastry rosquetes, pupusas, wheat semitas, cookies and rolls.

In confectionery the fritters, the cusnaca de jocotes, cooked jocote, ayote in honey, panela, syrups during Holy Week, candies, mango jelly and meringue, among others, stand out.

The traditional beverages of the municipality are the tiste, pinolillo, pozol, lukewarm pinol, pinol cooked with milk, corn atol, corn chicha, corn atol and rum from cususa.
