San Lorenzo is one of the municipalities of Boaco that has shores on Lake Nicaragua, a land of mountains and mountains, surrounded by exuberant nature and industrious people characterized by their agricultural and livestock activities, venture to know its hills and caves.
This municipality is located 89 kilometers from the capital of Nicaragua, Managua.
It limits to the north with the municipalities of Boaco and Teustepe, to the south with Lake Nicaragua or Cocibolca, to the east with the municipalities of Camoapa and Comalapa, and to the west with Tipitapa and Granada.
The fundamental economic activity of the municipality is livestock and agriculture.

Highway to San Lorenzo
To get to this municipality of San Lorenzo you must board a bus at the El Mayoreo bus terminal in Managua heading to Juigalpa, San Carlos, El Rama, Nueva Guinea or Santo Tomás and at the junction to San Lorenzo you must get off to board a taxi that will take you to the urban area of the municipality.
If you travel by private vehicle you must take the Panamericana Norte highway, go through Tipitapa and at the San Benito junction, continue to the right passing Las Banderas, Teustepe until the Boaco junction where you must go straight to El Zapote, there turn left and soon you will see the entrance to the town.
