Santo Tomás del Norte, also known as Santo Tomás del Nance, is a border municipality with the Republic of Honduras, it is characterized by being a small rural town surrounded by vegetation, where its stories and ancient temples will make you remember this small, but very charming place.

The municipality is located 219 kilometers from the city of Managua. It limits to the north with Cinco Pinos, to the south with Somotillo, to the east with Cinco Pinos and to the west with the Republic of Honduras.

The fundamental economic activity of the municipality is livestock and agriculture. The agricultural strip irrigated by the Guasaule River and its tributaries constitute the most productive area of ​​the municipality where sesame, beans and corn are grown.
