Address
It is located 135 kilometers from the city of Managua. It limits to the north with the Gulf of Fonseca and the municipality of Puerto Morazán, to the south with the Pacific Ocean, to the east with Chinandega and El Realejo and to the west with the Pacific Ocean.
Its main economic activity is based on agriculture and trade through the sugar mill, also fishing in its coastal areas.
