The municipality of Totogalpa is located 216 kilometers from the city of Managua. It limits to the north with Macuelizo, Ocotal and Mozonte, to the south with Yalagüina and Palacagüina, to the east with Telpaneca and to the west with Somoto.
The main economic activity of the municipality is agricultural, the cultivation of basic subsistence grains predominates, currently the local government is promoting horticultural crops as alternative items.

How to reach?
You must go to the collective transport terminal of Mercado El Mayoreo to take a bus to Ocotal, you ask the driver to get you off in the municipality of Totogalpa.
You can also travel by private vehicle, following the North Pan-American Highway until the Yalagüina junction, there turn right and continue five kilometers on the Ocotal highway, turn left and you will enter the municipality of Totogalpa.
