Santiago Apostle Parish.
The municipality of El Realejo called "Puerto de La Posesión", has beautiful beaches and mangrove ecosystems that welcome you; It is a town with a lot of history, it was the first establishment of the Spanish in our country, for this reason you will find colonial and pre-Hispanic objects.
El Realejo is located 140 kilometers from the city of Managua.
It limits to the north with Chinandega and El Viejo, to the south with the municipality of Corinto, to the east with Chinandega and Chichigalpa and to the west with Corinto.
The main economic activity of the municipality is agriculture, planting rice, corn, sesame, cassava, bananas, plantains and sugar cane, the latter being the one with the highest volume.

To get to this municipality you must board a bus at the terminal of the Israel Lewites Market in Managua, bound for Chinandega, where later you will take a bus that goes to El Realejo.
If you want to travel by private vehicle, take the Suburban highway in search of the New or Old highway to León, both will take you to León, a municipality that you must pass until you reach Chinandega, at the roundabout turn left, which is the road that goes towards Corinto, before reaching Paso Caballos, where there is a sign indicating to continue to the left, it is the beginning of the road that goes to El Realejo.
