The municipality of Corn Island is located 462.4 kilometers from the capital of Nicaragua and 80.4 to the east of the city of Bluefields, in the Caribbean Sea. The municipality is limited by the Caribbean Sea (Atlantic Ocean).
The economic activities of the municipality revolve around fishing, tourism and trade. However, you can find small family gardens with fruit trees, musaceae, roots and tubers that are marketed locally.

How to reach?
Corn Island can be reached by air or land and sea
By air, La Costeña offers daily flights from the domestic flight terminal of the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport.
By land you can take a bus to Bluefields from the Costa Caribe terminal in the Mayoreo market in Managua. The buses leave every day.
Once in Bluefields you must take the boat on Wednesdays or Saturdays at 9 in the morning to Corn Island. The price is C$310.00.
