The lagoon system, despite being small water resources in territorial extension, present a wide diversity of species. They are shallow lagoons where native shrubs and grasslands grow, with the presence of resident and migratory birds that find a place to live, feed or reproduce.

It is located between kilometers 69-75 on the Managua-Matagalpa Pan-American Highway. You can also enjoy delicious fried fish in the tourist service establishments located in this beautiful place, just 70 kilometers from Managua.

In the Moyuá lagoon there is a varied offer of community-based rural tourism and you can contact tourist guides.

Ciudad Darío has as a tourist resource the Santa Barbará dam which you can reach through this municipality or San Isidro, here you can do: sport fishing, boating and swimming.

Güisisil Hill

El Güisisil hill, to the south of the municipality with an elevation of 1120 m above sea level, it constitutes the highest hill of the Meseta de los Estradas, shared with the municipalities of El Jicaral, in the department of León and San Francisco Libre, in Managua.

About 800 meters high it has the site of Waterfalls, made up of more than 40 water holes that spring from the bowels of the hill and that form fresh water falls of great beauty. In the surrounding habitat, even when there is recent human intervention, the vegetation and fauna is more conserved, observing species that no longer exist in the surroundings.
