The municipality of Pueblo Nuevo is located 205 kilometers from the city of Managua. It limits to the north with the municipalities of Somoto and Yalagüina, to the east with Condega and Palacagüina, to the south with Estelí and Condega; to the west with San Juan de Limay, Las Sabanas and San José de Cusmapa.

Pueblo Nuevo is characterized by the production of crops for self-consumption and commerce, vegetables and coffee stand out. Livestock is carried out on a smaller scale.

To visit the municipality of Pueblo Nuevo you must board a transport unit bound for Estelí, at the Mercado Mayoreo bus terminal. At the Estelí terminal, take a bus with a direct route to Pueblo Nuevo. You can also take a bus with the Managua-Ocotal or Managua-Somoto route and get off at the Pueblo Nuevo-Palacagüina junction, then take a taxi to Pueblo Nuevo.

By vehicle, along the North Pan-American Highway, you head towards Estelí. Once in the city, follow the signs until the entrance to Pueblo Nuevo at the Pueblo Nuevo-Palacagüina junction, located at kilometer 194. A cobbled road will take you to the center of the city.
