This municipality was a heroic trench against the Somocista dictatorship, through its main streets the guerrillas of the Sandinista Front crossed on June 27, 1979, to carry out the tactical withdrawal to Masaya and later they entered Managua in triumph on July 20, 1979.

It was an important chiefdom in colonial times and its architectural design preserves the old urban layout of its streets unchanged, reminiscent of colonial design.

Nindirí preserves its identity and its daily life, reflected in the various experiences that form the individual and collective memory of its inhabitants, which is immortalized in its various expressions and cultural manifestations, configuring the rich cultural heritage of the municipality.

When you arrive in Nindirí, you must go through it slowly, capturing the essence of that small town, the identity of its inhabitants ... a window, a story, a legend. You will know the expressions of their material and intangible culture, pre-Hispanic heritage and cultural syncretism, as well as other recreational activities, rooted in the uses and customs of the settlers, as part of their collective memory.
