The patron saint festivities of La Libertad They have been dedicated, since the mid-nineteenth century, to the Virgen de la Luz (May 10). The festivities are highlighted by religious acts, bullfighting evenings, horse of wood, giantess parades and popular festivals. All the events, mostly cultural, are accompanied by the famous "old men" or "masked men" who dance to the sound of chicheros.
