La Patronal feast is dedicated to Saint Joseph, held on March 19. The program includes the traditional entrance of the rods, targets, bullfighting evenings, equestrian parade, religious acts, election of queens and the largest and tastiest cheese fair in Nicaragua.
The traditional holidays of the municipality are celebrated for Santiago Apóstol. They are known as the muddy festival and take place on July 25. The activities carried out are similar to the program of the patron saint festivities.
San Jose
El top of the saints takes place on the Thursday before July 25. The following images are gathered: Santiago of the chapel, Santiago of the church and the Virgin of La Merced.
The Poster It is a popular activity carried out on the Friday before July 25. It consists of a parade of riders who go to the barrier to inaugurate the ride. It is the inaugural parade of bullfighting.
Feast of the Virgin of Mercy. This dedication has been chosen as "Patron of the quesilleras". They celebrate it on September 23 with the gift of chicha and cheese on the side of the road.
