The historical dates of celebration to the Virgin of the Rosary They are located between September 28 and October 7, however, the inhabitants celebrate the Virgin twice a year: in January and October.
This festival is distinguished by religious activities, starting with an open-air novena in all urban sectors and some rural areas of the municipality, highlighted by the distribution of "toasts" to attendees on October 7.
During the January festivities, there is an equestrian parade, fireworks and the top of the Virgin with images of the communities of San Isidro and the Virgin of Fátima de Cañas Blancas.
The second date is celebrated from January 8 to 15 in the urban area. This is the most striking festival in the municipality, it is distinguished by the carnival, the election of the queen, the bull stop and the free distribution of food.
As part of these celebrations, the traditional dance of Las Inditas prevails, a dance that is performed to the sound of marimba; women and girls dance during the procession of the Virgen del Rosario, wearing brightly colored costumes and necklaces.
