The municipality celebrates its patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, which begin on July 14 and end at the end of the month. It is a festival full of faith, tradition and a lot of color. The residents take a water tour with the image of the Virgin on San Diego Beach, later a ceremonial mass is held, at night cultural festivals, fireworks, choice of the cowgirl girl, ribbon races, pike stick, merry night parties in the main square and bullfights at night.
