Villa Sandino celebrates its patron saint festivities in honor of San Pedro on June 29, although part of the celebrations were moved to the month of April to avoid the torrential downpours of the copious winters in this region. Bullfighting afternoons, equestrian or horseback riding, popular festivals and productive fairs are part of the program of these festivities.

San Pedro

Historical sources point out that it was Father Higinio Fletes who made San Pedro official as the patron saint of the municipality, being Don Silverio Hernández and his wife Paula Jiménez his first celebrants.
