Santa Ana

In the municipality of Yalagüina, it celebrates the patron saint festivities in honor of the patron saint of the municipality, the "Señora de Santa Ana" where different activities are carried out: La gigantona dance, ribbon races, duck races, palo lucio, the greased pig , bullfights of patron saint festivities, these festivities are celebrated on July 26.

The beautiful image dates from approximately 150 years ago. According to residents, the Virgin was brought from the Republic of El Salvador.

The first queen of the patron saint festivities was Miss Rosario Alfaro González in 1970, during an event held by professors Manuel Gómez Vallecillo, Argentina Mejía and Rosario Cáceres.

On May 25, the Virgin of Fatima is celebrated, where the population of each community brings the image in procession and there is a meeting of all the virgins in the church, subsequently celebrating with a mass.
