Saslaya Hill, one of the core areas of the Bosawás Biosphere Reserve, is one of the representative ecosystems of the tropical rain forest and submontane forest, and the most prominent of the Cordillera Isabelia.

Wani River: This is a mighty river that rises from the Bosawás Biosphere Reserve so its waters are crystal clear, in this river you can do artisanal fishing, boat tours and artisanal rafts, trails through the community, you also enjoy wonderful sunsets. It is located in the community of Wany, 10 kilometers west of the urban area.
Prinzapolka River
