The type of architecture of this municipality is of neocolonial and vernacular style. There are still houses built with talquezal, wood, bricks, bolón stone, blocks using river sand and clay tile roofs.

La House of El Carmen It is considered, along with the parish church, the oldest building in the municipality. It was completed in 1812.

Central Park

Parochial Church. It is a temple with a colonial influence. It was rebuilt and completed on April 12, 1816, financed by don Juan Toledo, Juan Lucas Beltrán and Narciso Bellido, with Tobías Pérez as mayor. The labor for the construction was supplied by Mauricio Xirón and Father Kickes, originally from Hungary, who refurbished the temple with the support of its inhabitants.

La Colonial Church of Comalapa It is consecrated to the Virgin of Candelaria and Saint Bartholomew the Apostle. In its interior rest the remains of distinguished personalities of the town: Mrs. Gregoria Vargas de Enríquez, mother of Emiliano Chamorro, former president; Martín Díaz, was the president's brother-in-law; Agustín Miranda Sequeira and Felipe Robleto together with his wife Josefa Duarte, illustrious people.

La Church of Comalapa It was declared a national historical monument by decree, in 1950.

Urban tourism

El Benno Kosmala Central Park It has sports courts, a children's play area, free Wi-Fi internet, gardens, a cafeteria, a monument to General Sandino, an umbrella promenade and benches for resting. Located in front of the Catholic church, in the center of Comalapa.

Another place you must visit is La Lomita, a small park with a rest area ideal for meditating or reading a book. From here you will also see part of the town and the hills that border it. La Lomita is located in the urban area of ​​the municipality, half a block north of El Vaquero restaurant.

The Paseo de los Estudiantes is filled with joy when students go to or return from their classes.
