The patron saint festivities of Niquinohomo are celebrated on July 26 in honor of the patron saint Santa Ana and they conclude the first weekend of August; his descent from the altar is on July 08th. This celebration is visited by people from all corners of the country.

In the festivities, processions are held, masses are celebrated, gunpowder games are held, food is distributed to the promising ones and the queen of the patron saint festivities is chosen.

From July 08 to 26, candles, novena and processions are held with the image of Granny Santa Ana, the license with the participation of the chinegros, corn chicha, casserole dough with rice and bananas, buns, donuts and nacatamales.

Santa Ana -of this municipality- is the only image that has the girl on the left leg.

Likewise, during Holy Week there are processions and solemn acts such as the blessing of the palms on Palm Sunday, the washing of the feet on Holy Thursday and the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, whose stations are adorned with flowers carried by children and adults. of the municipality and neighboring towns.

The main attraction is the Procession of the Risen Jesus, a very beautiful and large image. It takes place on the night of Glory Saturday and is the largest religious event during Holy Week.

The Lenten Fair, takes place on the last Friday of Lent. Visitors are offered meals and drinks of the season (fried fish, sardine cake, cheese soup, among others).

The gastronomic and craft fair is held in August in commemoration of the municipality's anniversary and offers a wide variety of products made from corn.

There, local dance groups meet to expose the best of Nicaraguan dances through folkloric ballets of recognized trajectory.

The traditional dances that stand out the most are those of chinegros, the vaquita, the dance of the inditas and marimba sounds.

La Judea de Niquinohomo has more than 100 years of tradition, this religious theater is recognized nationally as one of the most representative.
