This municipality has buildings with a great cultural value, due to its construction technique, construction materials and its historical value. They are considered heritage of Nandasmo, as well as some cultural expressions of the celebrations of the patron saint festivities, dances and road stories.

Nandasmo Tourist Viewpoint
The current uses reflect the passage of history as only the temple of the Parroquia San Pedro survives and part of the Plaza that was occupied by the Central Park. According to local historians, by 1750 in this place was the Plaza, the Church and the Municipal Council, which was also occupied by the North American Navy in 1928.
Currently there is also the Carlos Mairena Galán Cultural Center.
The assembly Municipal Park, San Pedro Parish, Elementary School (former location of the Municipal Council), has become the most important point of reference in the municipality, as it is where the most relevant activities and celebrations of the population take place.
The former Gloria Betzabé School currently houses the Nandasmo Community Cultural Center, which houses all the culture and cultural expressions of the municipality, which means a commitment for the population of Nandasmo in the rescue and promotion of their heritage.
La Via San PedroIt is a culturally important site for the Nandasmo community since the tope or meeting of the saints of Masatepe and Nandasmo is traditionally celebrated there. Its symbolism consists in showing a gesture of union between both peoples, represented by the popular religiosity of its inhabitants.
San Pedro Parish: built in 1725 in a colonial style and in honor of San Pedro, an image brought in 1724 by the Spanish, accompanied by a bronze bell.

Located a kilometer and a half from Nandasmo Central Park, the Nandasmo Tourist Viewpoint, offers a splendid panoramic view of Masaya and other nearby departments, we can appreciate from the Masaya Lagoon the Masaya Volcano, Mombacho Volcano, the city of Masaya, Nindirí, the Coyotepe Fortress, Lake Xolotlán and streams of the municipalities of La Concepción and Masatepe.
It is an ideal place to spend with the family and share the typical gastronomy, take a well-deserved dip in its blue swimming pools and buy a nice souvenir in the handicrafts area.
Another option is to visit the Vista Alegre Tourist Viewpoint, in the community of the same name, five kilometers from Central Park. A private place, full of nature where you will have a great time.
Here piñatas are held for the little ones and you can also enjoy local food during the patron saint festivities, national festivities, watch the gunpowder games and typical dances. It is in front of the San Pedro Church and the Municipal library.
Nandasmo has numerous sports fields and parks such as the Aníbal Galán Park, el San Bernardo community sports field, Vista Alegre community sports field and Coffee plantation sports field, in these you can practice soccer, basketball, volleyball and baseball.
